Thank you Birthe, I’m not sure which photo you’re referring but I did have a 24-105mm lens on my camera at the time enabling me to capture very interesting perspectives. Surprisingly we didn’t drive the short distance from Lake Matheson to Peak View Lookout which I regret, but there’s always next time…

Is that a zoomed in photo? We couldn’t get that close to the glacier when we visited in April last year, and were looking down on it rather than up to it. Glad to hear you made it to Lake Matheson anyway, stunning reflections, right?! We loved it! Did you pull over at the Peak Viewpoint too? Our photos of the spot aren’t that great, but the view in real life was breathtaking!

Thank you Nick you’re absolutely right, we were extremely lucky to have had perfect weather. However we’ve also experienced bad weather on the east coast after booking hot air balloon flights. Therefore, I would recommend all travellers to be optimistic because eventually you’ll be successful.
